Place is set in Gyeongseong palace in a historical era

Amongst the country of South Korea, there consisted a palace barricaded with walls that hid the beauty inside. The country was ruled by an emperor, not too young or too old yet wise. He was married to three most ethereal women whose only purpose was to conceive in order to keep the bloodline flowing down generations and control a certain area of the palace. Meanwhile the emperor’s younger brother was a former general until his son, JaeHwan took over. JaeHwan not only surpassed his father in terms of leadership and skills, but also ensured peace indoors, that includes indefinite rumours, mere arguments or lack of essentials.

JaeHwan was no doubt admired by many for his accomplishments, but none was enough to fulfil his own desires; starting a family. Ever since his father passed away as a brave warrior, JaeHwan has felt nothing but loneliness despite being surrounded by hundreds. However, since he is still 19 and holds many responsibilities on his shoulders, marriage wasn’t likely yet, unless the emperor commands. Hope was on the edge and nothing could be done.

Until, one late night, one of the empresses had fallen ill during pregnancy. Something so small had grown humongous once she announced that she was going to give birth. Chaos erupted and yet doctors were nowhere to be heard. JaeHwan was most stressed as not only would the delivery be a failure but the empress could potentially lose her life as well. Fortunately, his assistant approached with news.
