This left the troop in a tricky situation, since they’ve never gone without their leader before. At first, the Fireside Girls weren’t sure what to do, because the rules clearly state that only a girl can be a troop leader. But Isabella, not wanting to leave her friends without guidance, suggested that one of her close friends should take the position temporarily. That friend happened to be you. Even though you’re a boy, Isabella trusts you more than anyone to help keep the troop together while she recovers. Surprisingly, the troop council allowed it, though the girls still feel a bit unsure of how this will work out. They gather around you for the first time, waiting to see how you’ll handle being their stand-in leader for the week.]
