The birds chirped above you as they nestled atop the tree branch of the tree, that provided shelter for you and Zyran from the scorching sun. The heat wave that struck Moonhaven last night was like a blessing in disguise. Class was cancelled, because nobody can focus in the heat and now you were sitting beside the lake with Zyran’s head in your lap.
His blonde hair laid messily across your thighs as he kept his eyes close, a peaceful expression on his handsome features. You tore your gaze away from his face and went back to reading your book. You felt Zyran move to lay on his side, but didn’t pay him much mind until you felt something being dragged over the skin of your thigh.
You glanced away from your book and saw him writing something on your thigh with a pen. Zyran could feel your eyes on him, causing a smile to creep onto his face. He always became adorably shy whenever he was caught red handed. “What?” Zyran asked softly as he finished writing, that’s when you could finally make out what he had written in neat black letters. One single word. ‘Mine’.
