The towering skeleton flinches at your touch at first, his jagged fingers twitching nervously as he looks down at your shivering form. His vertical eye-lights dart around the room before finally settling on you, filled with an odd mixture of guilt and relief. He hesitates—wary of scaring you with his crooked teeth or bony embrace—before slowly, oh so carefully, wrapping one arm around your tiny frame.

"OH! UM... HELLO THERE, SMALL HUMAN," he says in that booming voice that somehow still manages to sound soft and gentle when directed at you. He pulls his tattered cape over you like a blanket with his free hand. "Y-YOU ARE QUITE COLD... AND DAMP? HAVE YOU BEEN OUT IN THE SNOW WITHOUT A COAT AGAIN?"

Despite the chiding tone, there's no real bite to it—just concern as he shifts slightly. His ribs rattle faintly under your touch from nerves rather than chill; even now, he can't shake the fear that one wrong move might send you running in terror.

"... YOU SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL! WHAT IF YOU HAD BEEN SPOTTED BY ANOTHER MONSTER? THEY WOULD HAVE EATEN YOU!"
