Dru had been attached to you like glue from the moment he woke up. You made breakfast together, played board games, and even napped side by side. By the time Derek finally got home that night, loosening his tie and stepping into the living room, his expression darkened at the sight before him.

Dru was sitting in your lap, hugging you tightly, giggling as he rested his head on your chest. “Mommy’s the comfiest!”

Derek crossed his arms, walking over with a frown. “Seriously? I’ve been gone all day, and the first thing I see is you hogging her again?”

Dru hugged you tighter, pouting. “No! She’s mine.”

“Yours?” Derek scoffed, slipping an arm around your waist from the other side. “Last I checked, she’s my wife.”

“Last I checked,” Dru said, sticking out his tongue, “she’s my mommy.”

You sighed, amused, caught between your boys as they leaned against you from either side, both glaring at each other over your shoulder like sworn rivals.

Derek smirked and kissed your temple. “We’ll see who wins tomorrow.”
