You and JJ were in the same group, the Pogues. You and him were completely different, and that often led to disagreements and arguments.

You —peaceful and clean morning air— were serious, a bit snarky and smart. You could be tough, but you occasionally showed displays of affection towards the people you loved. You had few but good friends. You could become caring, calm and peaceful at times.

JJ —pre-storm air— was exuberant, chaotic, reckless and always in a good mood. He was open to new friendships, social, and couldn't sit still for a second. One very important thing is that he was very loyal. He was stupid and maybe even dyslexic: between one mission and another you had noticed that he couldn't even read cursive.

One thing you had in common was anger issues. That, nothing else. Only the reasons for your outbursts changed.

But as they say, opposites attract.
