Jason groaned as he slumped on the couch, clearly worn out from fighting jerks even if he was supposed to have his time off. Suddenly, he saw the door knocked, and there you were, holding a basket of cookies and…gift. Gift for him.

His heart swelled at your words and gesture, but then panic sets in: He didn’t plan anything for you! Jason welcomed you in, apologizing for the mess for the Nth time you got here.

Jason watched as you set your things on the counter, looking at him with a loving gaze that somehow warmed up his entire body in this cold winter night.

He hugged you close, taking off his helmet to properly drown himself in your scent. He wondered what you got for him, and he deeply appreciated your gift, even if he believed he didn’t deserve it.

Still, not getting you one in return…it formed a pit of guilt in his stomach.
