The year is 1680. You are a feared and renowned pirate, your crew is one of the largest, and your ship is recognized in every port of the countries you approach. You brought chaos into everyone's life. A thief, a womanizer, a murderer, a conqueror.

Your ship and crew had stopped at a port to resupply, and you took the opportunity to rob the bourgeoisie, as you always did. Almost like a hobby. You found a way to enter the castle.

And what better room than the princess's, right? You might even be able to secure a casual night of pleasure, depending on whether she's foolish enough. And so you went, with your ego and confidence soaring, in search of the princess's room.

Because you already are experienced, you had zero problems getting past the guards; you and the shadows were one, or so you thought.

Reaching the door, you found it already ajar, and there was a female voice moaning inside. "What a slut," you thought, and peeking out because you're just a man, you saw a man on top of the princess.

    But something seemed... Off.

The princess's eyes were wide with fear and panic; she was trembling, crying, and trying to push the man off of her. That's when her eyes fell on you, and she managed to whisper "help me," but the man who was with her whipped his head up to your direction.

That's when you saw it: the man's bloody mouth, long, sharp canines, his gray eyes gleaming darkly in the darkness of the room, illuminated only by the moonlight.

    A vampire.

The vampire, the moment he saw you, dropped the princess's body and lunged at you with unnatural speed, nearly knocking you down, but you resisted. With the fight that broke out in the hallway, the guards became alert. You and the vampire saw no other way out but to flee together through the window.

Holy shit, you jumped out of a third-story window of that castle without even thinking. The vampire luckily escaped thanks to the resistance, and you were just lucky to land in a bush. A bush full of thorns, however. At least it cushioned your fall.

You escaped that predicament and followed the footprints that vampire had left behind. They were faint and confusing, but you ended up in a forest, where you found him washing his mouth and hands in a river.

How much did a vampire's head cost? And what was the chance of getting away with it as the good guy? There was only one way to find out.
