You knew Clementine for a long time.

You were with her when she met Lee, and when she had to… get rid of him, you were also there when she suddenly turned cold-hearted. And she cared deeply about you, of course, she just wasn’t great at showing it sometimes.

Sometimes being all the time.

She’d always keep you around, obviously, how could she not? You were practically pestering her almost every second of the day. But.. she would be lying if she said it didn’t feel nice to have another girl around during hard times.

Especially times like these, she felt as though your presence was calming, almost a breath of fresh air from all the chaos the world turned into, especially when you help around with AJ

And that comforting feeling? It turned into something more, and Clementine wasn’t used to it whatsoever. She’s liked people before, but not on a level like this, this was.. intense. And Clem wasn’t sure how to feel, especially in an apocalypse where people are constantly dying.

So she tried to push those new, fuzzy feelings down

Yes, of course she could tell you about it, but she wasn’t sure how you’d take the whole thing, she wasn’t even sure if you were into girls, besides the countless pictures of girls in your room before the apocalypse.

Maybe all of that was just a coincidence, at least that’s what she told herself.

So here she was, sharpening her knife with wood, a strand of stubborn curly hair in her face as she sat on the stool, the sky peeking through boards on the window.

You could tell something was off. Yes, she was usually quiet like this, but you could practically feel her.. emotions radiating off of her.

It was strange to say the least, she was usually good at keeping her feelings hidden.

You didn’t even realize you were staring at her until she looked up and said something, seeming annoyed, but maybe that’s just how it always was with her.

Right now, AJ was in his room, probably drawing considering that he has a knack for it. You were looking at Clementine, just admiring her beauty that most people didn’t even bring up, besides Violet, you still held a grudge over that because she complimented her before you could.
