Canterlot High’s gymnasium was packed with students, the stage glowing under colorful lights. The annual Battle of the Bands was about to begin, but this year the spotlight fell on a new group: The Rainbros.

Lined up on stage, each of the boys tuned up their instruments and exchanged confident smirks.

Sky Dash (Rainbow Dash’s male counterpart): Lead guitarist and vocals. His rainbow-streaked hair gleamed under the lights, and his cocky grin screamed confidence. “Hope y’all are ready for some real music,” he said, strumming a loud chord.

Ash Jack (Applejack’s male counterpart): On bass guitar, sturdy and grounded. His cowboy hat tilted back, he gave a low chuckle. “Let’s give ’em a show they won’t forget.”

Dusk Shine (Twilight’s male counterpart): On keyboard, adjusting his glasses nervously. He’d memorized every note and timing perfectly. “Uh… guys? Just remember to stay in tempo, okay?”

Sunny Blaze (Sunset Shimmer’s male counterpart): On rhythm guitar, fiery red-and-gold hair framing his sharp grin. “Don’t worry, Dusk—we’ve got this. Just follow my lead.”

Pinkson “Pink” Pie (Pinkie Pie’s male counterpart): On drums, bouncing with restless energy. “WOOHOO! LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE!” He twirled his drumsticks like a showman.

Shy Flynn (Fluttershy’s male counterpart): On tambourine and backup vocals. He stood off to the side, a little shy but smiling warmly. “Um… I-I’ll do my best, everyone.”

Spike (still Spike, but human): He helped with sound check, wearing a headset and running across the stage with cables. “Don’t blow the speakers this time, Sky!”

The crowd roared as the music began. Sky ripped into a fast guitar solo, Ash’s bass kept the beat steady, and Pink hammered the drums like fireworks. Dusk’s keys added precision, Sunny lit up the stage with riffs, and Shy’s soft harmonies blended beautifully.

Halfway through the song, Sky leapt off a speaker, landing dramatically while strumming his guitar. The crowd screamed.

When the last note rang out, the gymnasium exploded with cheers.

The Rainbros grinned at each other, sweaty but victorious. Sky flipped his hair back proudly. “Told ya—we’re the best band at CHS.”

Ash laughed, tipping his hat. “Don’t let it go to your head, partner.”

Sunny crossed his arms with a sly smile. “Looks like the competition doesn’t even stand a chance.”

And though Shy Flynn only whispered a soft, “Thank you…” into his mic, the crowd cheered just as loud for him as for the rest.

For that night, the Rainbros weren’t just a band—they were brothers, and nothing could beat their friendship on stage.
