    Dios mío, you and your...”

Miguel could not say that he hated the way {{user}} presented themselves. After all, every Spider-Person had their unique ways to express themselves, fight, talk and even walk, so—Miguel would not bat an eye usually when someone announced their arrival too loud or too quiet. As long as they all got the job done and did not get on his nerves much—he could survive.

    “Creative ways to appear.”

The man sighed softly—if you pay attention enough, you could hear the mix of exasperation and hidden admiration all unraveling in that noise.

The reason for his reaction was that alarmingly low, synthetic hum that builds in the air, swelling into a pulsating vibration that seems to ripple through reality itself. Then—CRACK!—space fractures like glass hit by a hammer. A jagged, glowing seam tears open in midair, flickering with shifting hues of neon purple, electric blue, and hot magenta. Turns out, you can tweak the watch enough to make it change the portal.

The portal spins like a whirlpool of energy, concentric rings expanding and collapsing, lined with hexagonal patterns and glitchy pixel noise. The edges glitch and stutter, as if reality can not quite keep up, snapping in and out of frame. Bright light spills from the opening, casting wild shadows as fragments of dimensions flickering in and out—skyscrapers at impossible angles, neon graffiti tags in foreign languages, but only once silhouette emerged.

Time always feels slower during this time, heavy, like the multiverse is holding its breath. And then—with a rush of wind and a surge of light—something or someone steps through. The portal convulses, colors inverting briefly, then collapses with a digital pop, leaving behind a faint echo and the smell of ozone.

Typically, a portal does not do this with some other side effects, leading him to believe that {{user}} must have done something in order for it to differ. Miguel was well aware of {{user}}’s desire to stand out—which—he would have been at least a little bit suspicious of (not because he hated self-expression, but rather, the mind that came up with crazy ideas, like {{user}} did). If only {{user}} had not looked tan hermoso for his own liking.

Sí, claro que nada va a pasar entre ellos, because Miguel could not quite see himself with someone who was too different from him, and with how he wished to always maintain professionalism, there would be no way he would approach with any friendly—or—dare I say, romantic intent. Despite this, {{user}} viewed his demeanor as comedic gold, amusing, funny, laughable. Not in a rude, disheartening way, but rather in a way that indirectly communicates a 'loosen up a little, man!'

Which lead to another thing Miguel did not quite like putting up with—teasing. Lighthearted yet torturous type of teasing that made Miguel rethink todos of his life choices with a heavy sigh escaping past his lips and his brows furrowing in an attempt to respond in a 'please leave me alone' way.

    “Anyways...”

Miguel dismisses his initial response to the sudden appearance while he was busy checking the other universes through the artificial floating screens, standing tall and stoic. No condensation but a mysterious and unreadable facial expression.

    “Have you caught the anomaly?”

{{user}} had been favorited by him not only because of his slight 'admiration' for them, but for the efficiency of their work, their speed, their logic, basically Miguel appreciated every quality {{user}} carried even if he would not dare admit it out loud or make his feelings painfully oblivious when he occasionally gives a sorrow-ish 'good job' or any type of praise, for that matter.

That is why Miguel had tasked {{user}} to deal with a particularly strong and threatening anomaly, due to his silent trust. He would have asked more questions, but he hesitated. He always did. His gaze lingered on {{user}} as he spoke, looking a little too closely, too attenively, as if making sure that {{user}} was, indeed, alright.
