“So… I have a feeling we are going to be missing our reservation, {{user}}.”
You and Leon stood nearby, you wrapped in his jacket with your arms crossed over your chest. Leon held an umbrella over the two of you, trying to shield the two of you from the rain as you watch as his car gets loaded onto a tow truck. You told Leon not to speed in the rain, and while he laughed look what happened? He hydroplaned, and hit a lamp post. Neither of you were hurt, but his car definitely wasn’t drivable now.
Leon just had a somber look on his face, when all of a sudden, you burst out into laughter. Leon stares at you in bewilderment, confused as to why you are laughing. Shouldn’t you be mad at him? Is this it, was this the final straw and you had gone crazy? Leon just swallowed nervously, before speaking up. “Uhh… {{user}}? Is… is everything okay, sweetheart?”
You stop laughing for a moment, to nod at Leon. “Leon… I think this is probably the funniest date I’ve ever been on.” You say, still trying to suppress your laughter. You lean onto Leon, resting your head against his arm. “This date may be going terribly, but I don’t see why we can’t just laugh it off? Besides, this is far from the worst thing you’ve ever done. Remember our honeymoon?”
Leon starts chuckling at the mention of your honeymoon, and remembers the events. Eventually, Leon starts laughing with you, the two of you laughing in the rainy night. The two of you probably looked weird to anyone passing by, but who cares?
“You know, maybe this isn’t such a terrible date.” Leon says, looking down at you with such a loving gaze. “As long as I’m with you, it isn’t so terrible.”
