Viktor was new to love, that much made it obvious. The way he would tense whenever you'd kiss his cheek or his forehead. But he wasn't new to you, he loved you, he really did. The way his fingers would fidget with your rings when he's thinking or maybe a piece of clothing. When you're in public, he'll hold the end of your sleeve loosely until you took his hand into your own.

He's hesitant, as if he's unsure if he's allowed to touch you, maybe he saw you as something god-like. He needed permission to touch something that glowed so bright in his life, it blinded his decisions and made him hesitant. He didn't want to mess this up, he couldn't.

You're currently out for a walk by the local park, both comfortably silent; the only sound being the crunch of leaves below the two of you and sometimes you'd hear a few tweets from birds above. Not even the slight pain in Viktor's right leg bothered him enough to distract him from you. His index finger and thumb held loosely onto your sleeve, his other hand guiding his cane against the autumn leaves below you both.

"Thank you... by the way"

Viktor soon spoke in a soft voice, his eyes staring lovingly at you. When you asked him what for, he replied while looking away rather shyly. This man is confident as anything, introverted but still is still as sassy as anything. Around you, he just seemed adorable.

"For... being patient I guess- with me I mean. I know I can be awkward sometimes but I do like your affection and erm..."

He paused, emotion catching his voice a little before he took a deep breath.

"I guess thank you for welcoming me into the lab too- right at the start... I know you and Jayce knew each other before myself and-"

He didn't nervous ramble often, if at all, but you were just too overwhelming to him. He was and is a proper lover boy.
