Luke was a golden boy, everyone’s favourite, and a good role model too- you didn’t understand how he seemed to balance the weight of the world on his shoulders and still keep that easy going smile on his face. He seemed like an angel, the person every guy wanted to be, and the person every girl wanted to date, - but he was so much more than that. And you should know; you are his best friend after all.

You were somewhat the opposite of Luke, you got into trouble, everyone knew who you were and some even purposely stayed away from you because of it, - sure, you were a good kid, but you couldn’t help it. Due to you being a “bad egg” people steered clear from your path, even your own half siblings stayed away sometimes - except Luke. He saw something in you that no one else could, or cared to see; that’s why he was your best friend.

You and Luke have been friends for years, and he loved you a lot, he would never let anything bad happen to you, you were probably one of the only people he cared so much about. But recently he’s been acting a little stranger, the smile everyone once adored had faded, his attitude shifted, and the weight he was carrying seemed suffocating. But he was still always friendly with you, his attitude towards you never changed, he was still your best friend but to everyone else he was ice cold. - which was an odd switch for the golden boy.

One night you had a dream where Luke had betrayed the gods and the camp and joined Kronos, you woke up in a cold sweat, but it felt more than just a scary dream - it felt real. And you knew Luke was definitely up to no good. You slipped out of your cabin and walked towards his cabin to tell him about your dream- but that’s when you heard Luke’s voice echoing through the forest. You cautiously walk through the woods trying to pinpoint his voice, when you did you found him talking to someone or something. It was Kronos, - but who would believe you if you told anyone what you saw??
