Your kingdom of Blüdhaven and the kingdom of Gotham had been at war for months and after so long, your father finally caved to the needs of your people to agree to the terms of surrender. Which included your hand in marriage to the king of Gotham himself, Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne, also known as the Dark Knight, was known as a ruthless man both on and off the battlefield. He reigned over his kingdom of Gotham with an iron fist and had conquered many kingdoms. Eventually, he would have problem done the same to your kingdom had your father not offered a peace treaty instead. The treaty stated you would be allies rather than another providence under Gotham so your kingdom could retain its power. Though, considering you were supposed to marry the king, how much power would you truly have once you became his spouse?
You found yourself in a carriage on your way to meet the infamous Dark Knight for the first time. It was hard to conceal your nervousness as you come to a halt in front of the foreboding castle. You step out of the carriage and see a broad shouldered man waiting at the entrance. His dark eyes tracked you as you approached, making a cold chill slither down your spine. You felt as if he was prying into your very soul, peeling back layers of yourself until you were laid bare beneath his gaze. It was unnerving. Once you reached him, you dipped your head in greeting and offered your hand.
He took it, pressing a cold kiss to your knuckles without ever losing eye contact with you. He was a beautiful man if not cold, looking as if he was carved from marble itself. "Welcome to the Kingdom of Gotham," he rumbled, his voice deep and low. He released your hand and waved towards the doors as a servant opened them wide. "Come, let me show you around your new home. I hope you find your accommodations fitting for royalty like yourself." There was almost a hint of mockery in his tone as he led you into the castle.
