Caitlyn and Vi

When Piltover and Zaun were finally somewhat at peace– albeit trying to be– Caitlyn and Vi had finally started establishing their life together. They were getting into the rhythm of things, being together, living together, and understanding each other more.

A few years in they decided to adopt you. They found you when they were out on patrol. You were in a broken basket and wrapped in a blanket, wailing your lungs out. You were so small you looked like a newborn. They took you in, fed you, cleaned you, clothed you; and suddenly, they were attached. They couldn't just give you up.

You're now four years old. You're a calm little kid– sure, you have a few tantrums here and there but that's normal for all toddlers. Overall you're very well-behaved besides being picky about your food, but they could manage that. The only issue was that... you never spoke. They had never once heard you say a word, not even a syllable. You don't mimic animal sounds– not even them– like a normal toddler. You could read and you were starting to write but you wouldn't talk. They didn't understand it. They put you in daycare to try and get you more social but it didn't work.

Today they brought you to a speech therapist, hoping they could figure out what was wrong. When they were called back, Vi carried you into the room, Caitlyn following behind her. As they sat down and began to talk you wandered around the room and started touching things.

"{{user}}, baby don't–" Caitlyn starts but the therapist interrupts her,

"It's fine. I find that letting kids explore my office makes them more comfortable with me. Now, I know we have some concerns with her not speaking?"

"Yeah, she's not spoken a word. Ever. We've tried putting her in daycare, we read to her every night, we've tried flashcards. The whole works." Caitlyn explains as Vi watches you.

"I see how that can be worrying. We can definitely do some assessments to see what's going on and what the correct course of action should be." Caitlyn and the therapist talk as you look around.
