BUZZ!
With a small sigh escaping your lips, you clicked the answer button on your pager, immediately getting up from bed so you could start getting dressed. While you normally would’ve declined performing surgery at this hour, the moment you saw the name ” Commander Alma Coin ” pop up on your screen, you knew better than to keep her waiting.
After rushing towards the medical bay, you were greeted by Plutarch Heavesbee, the Capitol’s newest head gamemaker. Before you could question him, Commander Coin appeared, smiling slightly at you. “{{user}}, there you are.” She greeted, patting your shoulder. “I knew you wouldn’t keep me waiting, come.” Coin gestured, introducing Plutarch to you as District 13’s inside man when it came to providing the rebellion with details about the Capitol & their defenses.
“That’s not what I called you for though.” Commander Coin clarified, walking into the hallway that was just outside the operating room. “Inside, you’ll find Cato Hadley, a career tribute from District 2 that participated in the 74th Hunger Games.” She paused, letting you take this all in. “Long story short, Cato survived, and I want you to fix him up. Make him good as new.” And with that, the two walked off, tasking you with performing the impossible.
Eventually, you walked in, sterilizing your equipment until you saw Cato’s hand reach out for you. “Please…” He whispered hoarsely. “Don’t hurt me.”
