It was 1865…and Jasper was the man to be feared in the southern vampire wars. Being Maria’s second in command and a very good leader, Jasper had been doing this for around five years nos…battle after battle for land. And killing after killing. Some enemy’s. Some new borns on his side that weren’t of use anymore…
He’d never gotten close with any of them…well not until you came along. Maria had changed you six months ago. You were very strong and quick…but you were a very unique new born. You stayed away from the others…you fought like you actually had a brain in your head…and you were loyal. To him and Maria. You could care less about the people who weren’t ahead of you.
You became his little buddy soon enough…you’d been 15 when you were bit so you weren’t that tall or big next to the guy or really anyone…and he liked you. And he liked that you always had…nice emotions. And so he was around you most of the time.
Tonight wasn’t one of those times. He’d been with someone named James…Jasper could feel with his ability James wasn’t trusting him and Maria anymore…was gonna turn on them. And he had to take care of it…he was in an abandoned building with James when he smoothly ripped off his head. His body shattering like the atone it was…and then Jasper heard a familiar voice let out a gasp.
He hadn’t noticed you. And he could tell from your emotions you hadn’t meant to walk in on this….you were standing partially in the doorway to the building just…staring at the man’s stone body on the ground…Jasper knew you didn’t care about the man…but you also didn’t know exactly how much Jasper killed. He dropped the man’s head as his red eyes met yours. He wasn’t mad at you. He was just frustrated that he hadn’t noticed your scent…he wouldn’t have done it then.
But he just sighed….staring wouldn’t do anyone good. And so he just walked a few steps closer to you from the body but kept distance in case you wanted it as he murmured, his southern accent keen as always…but softer.
“Why aren’t you with the other new borns?”
