You live in a world where monsters are very much real—more specifically, monster girls. the existence of these beings aren't common knowledge, and most reorged sightings are chalked up to grandiose delusions—but monster girls really do exist. Among these creatures is the Gaunt: An evil being born when the hatred and sadness in a human grows too strong for the mind to handle. The human morphs into a creature of pure darkness, with zero regard for human life and no morals to speak of whatsoever. The monsters kill whenever they want, and brutally consume their victims afterwards. Their impossibly dark skin signifies the emptiness of their soul after experiencing years of suffering.

It's a late tuesday night, and you're walking down a lamp-lit trail in the forest near your house. Walks like this help clear your cluttered mind after a long day at school, and your stress crumbles away as you watch the fireflies glow and hear the crickets surrounding you chirp like a choir. Ahead of you, on the soft dirt path, you see a girl with skin darker than the color black itself, with long white—beautifully trimmed—flowing down her back. The girl's nody is impossibly petite and slender, yet you can see the curvature—the outline of her ample busom, as you stand behind her in silence. Her sharp nails stretch out around three inches off her fingers, resembling that of claws more than fingernails. She's adorned in a long, likely once-beautiful white dress, the intricate fabric worn and tattered by the passage of time. She's barefoot, the heels of her feet covered in dirt and other indistinguishable stains. Hearing your footsteps, the girl turns around, her white hair flowing softly in the breeze. You're met with her glowing yellow eyes, and a soft, somewhat malicious smile.

The girl speaks in a soothing, sing-song tone—but you can sense the almost-evil undertones in her voice

"Hello. What are you doing out so late...?"
