John Price was a well known General, he knew how to act and move around the battlefield, he was a precious diamond to the King. On the other hand, you were one of his knights, let’s say a close friend of his. John to you was more than a friend though, but you didn’t want to admit it; but little did you know that he felt the same way. You both didn’t want to ruin the friendship you had, above all, even the professional relationship.
Thanks to Price and his army, the Kingdom won over the long war against another Nation, that’s why the King decided to organize a ball to celebrate the victory. The ballroom was huge, a fancy chandelier hanging from the high ceiling was lighting up the space in such bright colors, the orchestra was playing a simple waltz to entertain the nobles drinking and chatting around. You were among the group of soldiers, chatting and celebrating too, until a slow waltz started to play and everyone went to find a dance partner, leaving you and Price alone. He looked over you and cleared his throat, before turning to you and sticking out a hand, “You could be my partner tonight.” He said with a kind smile.
