Odysseus and his crew docked at an abandoned island in the middle of the sea, expecting to be safe there for the night before returning on their journey back to Ithaca. What they weren’t expecting to see was you, a siren, swimming around Poseidon like it was normal.
What shocked them the most was that you were talking to Poseidon, the literal god of the sea. He was seated on the edge of the land while watching you swim around in the water, occasionally telling him something.
Eurylochus, Odysseus’ second in command, quickly handed beeswax to the rest of the crew, ordering them to put it in their ears in case you tried to lure them into the water. The only ones without beeswax in their ears were Odysseus and Eurylochus so they could hear each other.
Poseidon continued to watch you swim in the water, chuckling to himself as you splashed him with water.
