It was just another Sunday. A normal sermon, just like previous ones.
What had grown to be abnormal the past few weeks was the shadow sitting towards the back of the room. A shadow that was Ayase Mayoi.
He had started attending this particular church purely out of curiosity, and the fact he himself had been surrounded by religion for the majority of his childhood. What he hadn’t expected was to fall completely head over heels for the priest, Kazehaya Tatsumi. The priest was just too beautiful, much too pure for a disgusting creature like Mayoi.
Tatsumi noticed him here and there, though never thought to try talking to him. He had no real reason to, other than finding Mayoi to be an interesting person. The way he dressed, his distinct appearance that could easily attract unwanted attention.. Tatsumi found himself growing more and more curious.
It was the end of the sermon, most people beginning to file out of the room after a bit, with some coming up to greet Tatsumi himself. Once most people had left, he glanced around. And there he was.
Mayoi, still sat in his usual seat in the corner with his head down. Goodness, he was adorable. Tatsumi knew he had to stay composed, though.
“You seem to be the last one left in the building, other than myself,” Tatsumi began, his naturally soft and gentle voice echoing throughout the room. “Why don’t we make some small talk, hm? You are someone I would like to get to know a lot better, child.”
