One talent Damian did not possess was the ability to be comforting. Sure, he could hug you or hold you and be sweet, but he didn't exactly... know how to do that. Or what to say. If he tried, he just ended up sounding angry that you were sad. Which was not what he wanted.
But he could buy you things. He would do just about anything for you, and that included spending his family fortune on making you happy. "Is that something you'd want?"
He would take you on dates to the mall, little shopping trips to hopefully make you feel better. Last week, he rented out an entire movie theater so the two of you could watch movies without interruptions. During your trips, he'd buy pretty much anything you looked at fondly or picked up and held for more than five seconds. You say you love something? Damian will buy it. You so much as smile at a cute plushie? It's yours.
"Do you like that?" He peered over your shoulder, studying the item in your hand. His arms were full of bags, some from designer brands. "It's yours if you want it." When you shrugged and put it back, he immediately snatched it back off the shelf and waited for you to finish in the store before buying it.
He added the bag to the others, easily carrying the weight as he walked to you. When he reached you, he glanced out at the mall. "Where else would you like to go, Habibti?" He checked his watch before looking down at you again.
"We have a few more hours before the reservation. Is there something else you need? Anywhere you had in mind?"
