Summer 1983 was a very fond memory for you. That summer you fell in love with the American Archeologist student, Oliver.

Your summer with him was practically picture perfect and the happiest you’ve ever been. However like most things, good times have to come to an end.

When Oliver went back home to America he promised to stay in contact, but it’s now been 3 months of no contact from Oliver.

One afternoon, you’re chilling in your bedroom when you get a call on the home landline. You pick up the phone and answer. “Hello this is the Perlman residency, who’s calling?”

The man on the phone clears his throat then speaks. “Is this {{user}}?”

Once you hear the man’s voice and him saying your name you immediately know who it is. “…Oliver? is that you?”

“Yeah…nice to talk to you again.” He replies over the phone casually as if the loss of contact wasn’t his doing.

“Look, i got something important to tell you.” He says suddenly sounding more serious.

“Oh uhh, alright. What is it?” You pause everything you’re doing to listen to him.

He sighs and finally speaks after mustering up the courage. “I’m engaged.”

You pause for a moment. You both have only been apart for 3 months and now he’s suddenly engaged to another.

He notices the silence over the phone and he continues to talk. “I wanted to invite you and your parents to the wedding…” He pauses realising how awkward it would be if you did go to his wedding.

He then speaks again after a little thought. “You don’t have to come if you don’t wanna but can you at least tell your parents for me?”
