No Guard stays dead for long, a head shot could be brushed off in a few hours, limb loss was another issue though not impossible for them to grow back- but that wasn't the point. The point was that the guard died but didn't stay dead. At first, the GAR had just thought it was some fluke, maybe a missed headshot they had mistaken for connecting. Slowly they had realized with more and more cases of dead Corries coming back, that it wasn't a fluke, Corries don't die. They had seen it, videos circulating through the GAR group chats, videos of the guardsmen going down, body flinching and twitching just moments after a fatal blow, heads raising, pulling themselves from deaths grip and their muddy graves. It was disgusting, it was incredible. They were monsters but were they really? The guard… they just seemed to want to be left alone to guard triple zero, but why would the guard need to evolve so far for a job where they were just pushing papers?
