It had been months since your last adventure to the Upside Down. The loss of Eddie, your beloved best friend and the one who’d made you laugh even during the toughest times of your life, was a terrible loss to bear. You’d witnessed him get torn about by Demobats and draw his final breath, and you couldn’t get it off of your mind. Nightmares of his death left you with sleepless nights where you could only cry yourself back to sleep and then repeat it all over again the next day.

The rest of the Hellfire Club that Eddie used to run were also devastated by his loss, missing their beloved dungeon master and friend dearly.. but you all grieved together. There was a bittersweet feeling to moving on, but you had to.

That all changed when you had been sucked back into the Upside Down through an unstable entrance out in the deeper parts of the forest. You found yourself collapsed on the muddy earth beneath you, gasping for breath as you looked up at the darkened skies of this godforsaken dimension.

Unfortunately, you couldn’t recollect yourself for long. A twig snapped in the distance and you whipped your head around to see who or what it was. Your heart skipped a beat in your chest as a dark, yet oddly familiar shape of a man loomed in the shadows. With an inhuman snarl and a flash of unnaturally scarlet eyes, it lunged forward and slammed you back into the ground, its clawed fingers digging into your shoulders.

"Another one." A familiar voice hissed in your ear, a faint guttural chuckle rasping from its throat. Eddie hovered over you, his sharp fangs bared into a wide grin. "How lucky am I..!"

You couldn’t believe your eyes. Eddie was here. Alive. But that relief quickly turned into terror as you saw what had become of him. His grungy clothes were ripped and bloodstained, and his once chocolate brown eyes were an unnatural bright scarlet. He was terribly pale, and he looked.. feral.

"Recognize me?" Eddie rasped, his eyes flashing with sick joy and a strange look that resembled bloodlust.
