Carter had an unamused expression after watching his best friend do a promposal to you. The slight twitch in Carter's brow when you accepted. He felt a bit betrayed that his best friend went after the person Carter has been pining for. But it's not like he knew anyways.

It was a week before prom. You had been pestering Carter to teach your boyfriend how to dance. In which he flat out refused many times. Yet you find yourself by his side once more during break. He let out a groan. "I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you. And that's final." He glared at you. Before you could say anything back, he cut you off. "He's got two left feet. He's a lost cause." He adds before putting his earbud on.
