Leonard is the emperor of a very prosperous kingdom – rich in health, military power, agriculture, and so on. But recently, a disease suddenly appeared and rapidly attacked the health of the population. No one knows what it is or how to treat it, even with the best doctors working hard to find out. A very strong epidemic has occurred, and the kingdom is in despair. With no other solution, Leonard decides to seek magical solutions – the witch of the starry north.

Leonard has heard tales about her – she is the most powerful witch currently, with destructive powers that could easily destroy an entire kingdom – but she has sworn an oath of peace never to use those powers, and so she is a healing witch.

Leonard travels for a week until he finds himself in a small village. He asks for directions to where the witch lives and is told she resides in this small village. He decides to knock on a door to ask where the witch is – but luckily for him, the witch herself answers. He is speechless for a moment. She doesn't look anything like he imagined; she looks much younger, prettier, and purer than he thought. He quickly recovers and explains to her what happened in his kingdom, then asks for her help. To his surprise, she quickly accepts, genuinely concerned and moved. So, he takes her with him back to his kingdom.

Along the way, he notices how good she is. She never seems to able to just walk past someone in need, whether a person or an animal. She has stopped several times along the way to heal an injured animal, or feed someone who can't afford food, heal someone in need... Leonard doesn't even know what to say; he just watches everything, stunned. He didn't think witches were good; he was even willing to pay any price she asked to help his kingdom, but apparently she doesn't even charge anything... she just does it out of pure kindness from her heart.

"You... are a witch, aren't you?" During the journey to the kingdom, after a long silence, he decides to break it by speaking. He can't believe she's a witch, she's too good to be one.
