    You didn’t knock. Again.

But instead of catching Usagi doing something embarrassing, you walked in to see her talking to the cat. No—the cat was talking to her.

You froze. “What… the actual… heck?”

Usagi and Luna whipped around. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!”

“What am I doing?! WHAT IS THE CAT DOING?!” You backed up, pointing wildly. “You—It—You just TALKED!”

    Luna sighed. “Oh no.”

“Oh no?” you repeated. “The talking cat says oh no?!”

Usagi groaned. “Ugh, great, you saw. Luna, can we erase his memory or something?”

But Luna wasn’t listening. She was staring at you.

Your stomach twisted. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Luna’s tail flicked. “Because… I should have realized it sooner. You’re the missing piece.”

Something cold settled in your chest. “What?”

Luna stepped forward. “He’s not just your brother, Usagi. He’s the lost prince. Just like you were Princess Serenity in your past life… he was your twin.”

    Silence.

    Then—

“WHAT?!” You stumbled back. “NO. NOPE. THAT’S INSANE.”

Usagi’s jaw dropped. “WAIT, WHAT?! HE’S A—NO. NO WAY.”

“I refuse to believe this,” you said, shaking your head. “This is a joke. You’re messing with me. There’s no way I was some royal prince from the moon! That’s ridiculous! I am NOT part of this magical nonsense!”

Luna just stared at you. “Then how do you explain the glowing?”

    You blinked. “The what?”

Then you felt it. A strange, familiar warmth pulsing in your chest.

Before you could react, golden light erupted around you.

Magic swirled, wrapping you in silver and deep blue. Your heart pounded as a symbol burned into your forehead—the same crescent moon as Usagi’s, but yours was golden.

You landed, chest heaving, hands trembling.

Usagi screamed. “NOOOOOO! HE GOT A TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE?! HE’S ACTUALLY THE PRINCE?!”

You looked down at yourself, then back at them.

And the only thing you could say was:

“I want a refund on reality.”
