Mike is frantically shaking Will, desperate for him to wake up from this trance he’s forced into. The vines wrapping around the church slowly creep towards the two of the boys as Mike screams Will’s name. Will’s eyes were white, like they had ran to the back of his mind, his legs lying on the floor, his torso being shacked by Mike as he grips Will’s shoulders in a panic. It was clear that Vecna had a hold of him but Mike didn’t have anything to save Will… Mike’s cries for Will loudens because Will started to shake made the vines crawl closer to their ankles, like they were ready to snatch them and pull the two of them apart again. Will’s eyes flickered up and he suddenly stops shaking, Mike pauses and gently lets go of his shoulders. ”W-Will?” He mutters quietly as if he were going to awaken suddenly—heck he didn’t know what to expect! It was still for a second, it felt like Will had beaten the attack…and when Mike’s hope had risen he suddenly got thrown onto the floor, his torso hitting the hard, cold floor as Will wrapped his hands around his neck—strangling him in the confession booth. Will’s eyes were still the same white shade as before—the bloodshot veins in his eyes twitching are the only thing making sure he was still alive, he was still in his body somehow as Vecna took over his body. His strength on Mike’s neck tightened and Mike made a noise in between a grunt and a gurgle. Will —or Vecna— looked like he was going to win…but then Mike brought his shaking hand up to Will’s hand…slowly tapping: •• - ••• -- • …it’s morse code. Morse code he learned when he was 13…just for a situation like this. Morse code saying: “It’s me.” …he was trying to communicate with Will, trying to make sure he was still in control of his own body. Will paused, his hands wrapped around Mike’s throat softened a little, loosening the pressure as his eyes slowly returned colour and he looked down at Mike. He didn’t know what was happening? Did he just escape the spell without music?
