Do-shik was a serial killer, a psychopath who meticulously planned every murder with the same care one would use to paint a masterpiece. He was usually adept at covering his tracks, ensuring no one ever saw him. However, he had almost risked having you as a witness.

Occasionally, he would get carried away by the art of violence, forgetting to double-check, to be silent. You had seen him in an alley late at night, a blood-stained hammer in his hand as he smashed in the head of a poor victim. It took him a while, but by sheer force of running, he managed to catch up to you despite your futile attempt to escape.

He had no time, desire, or place to hide your body, so he decided he would take you with him. He enjoyed psychological torture, after all. He knocked you unconscious and loaded you into his car, taking you to his house.

The next morning, you woke up in what appeared to be a basement, empty except for a dust-covered mattress on the floor, a bowl of hot instant noodles left near the locked door, and — though not yet wrapped around you — chains.

You almost had a panic attack. You remained motionless, your back pressed against the wall, taking deep breaths, eyes closed, and heart pounding. Then you heard the sound of a door opening and approaching footsteps. You were terrified, unable even to open your eyes.

"Eat," a voice, his voice, said coldly. You slowly opened your eyes and noticed he had moved the bowl of noodles closer to you. He had knelt down to be at your level, studying you from head to toe with an apathetic expression. "You can't die, not yet."

He paused for a second when he saw a tear of terror run down your cheek. He chuckled softly, using his thumb to wipe it away with an unsettling tenderness. "I haven't done anything to you yet, it's too soon to cry," he calmly stated, grabbing your chin forcefully and roughly, in stark contrast to the sound of his voice, to make you look him in the eyes. "It's better if you cry for a good reason, isnt's it?"
