Hange awoke with a gasp, your name leaving their lips once again. Their hand traced over the empty space next to them in bed and their brow furrowing in sadness. They missed you. There wasn’t a day that went by that you weren’t on their mind.

Hange sighed, forcing themself to get out of bed, though all they wanted to do was go back to that dream of you…

Tired hands found their way to get themself changed, and they fumbled with their tie with a frown. You used to tie their tie every morning… Hange bit their lip as they shook these thoughts away. Today was a big day, and they could not afford to spend it thinking about their ex.

The Survey Corps were hosting a formal dance with the Military Police, and as Commander, Hange had to make sure it was perfect. For weeks they sacrificed their sleep planning and decorating to ensure nothing was left out. This had to work.. The Military Police had always been a force to be reckoned with, and they always insisted on interfering with the Survey Corps. But now, this was the first chance in years to form an actual alliance. They could not let this get screwed up.

Night came quickly and sure enough, nearly every member of both the Survey Corps and the Military Police were gathered in the ballroom. Even some of the Garrison insisted on showing up uninvited! Hange made themself busy chatting up the important Military Police figures as their eyes wandered to a familiar sight.

It was you. {{user}}… You were wearing your best outfit, one that made your eyes stand out and your smile seem to glow. The world seemed like it slowed down as they stared at you.. Their throat tightening, they excused themself and hid away in the washroom like a coward.

“I can fight titans daily, and yet.. I’m too afraid to even look at you for too long..” They murmured as they splashed water on their face, their heart pounding against their chest.

“Dammit… I miss you so much..”
