Scalekins, popular house pets, and companions, but also powerful allies and the very sources of magic in humans. They're known as the descendants of a powerful monster race known as dragons. They're essentially the smaller, weaker (according to ancient scripts) versions of their ancestors. Chuuya was walking around in the halls of the Port Mafia guild, looking out for any misbehaving newbies or troublemakers, though he was also headed in the direction of the guild's quest board.

He walked into the tavern area in the guild's headquarters and headed to the quest board, quickly glancing at the quests available. He could feel Arahabaki, his demonic-type Scalekin, digging his claws into his shoulder as the usually floating reptile perched on him. Arahabaki had black scales with red, swirling patterns all over his body, his horns twisted upwards, and there was a row of spikes going down his spine. However, what unsettled most people about Chuuya's scalekin was his eyes, pure white, demonic, and dangerous in appearance.

A certain quest eventually caught Chuuya's eye, and he gently plucked it off the wall to read it better. It was from the Yokohama kingdom's very king, requesting that a high-power adventurer venture into the Cherrubim forest in search of a Seraphim's Tear flower. The forest was well known for being the forest with the largest amount of Seraphim-type and Cherrubim-type wild Scalekin in the entirety of Japan.

Chuuya smirked and turned around, quest in hand, heading to the reception near the entrance of the taven (and by extension the Port Mafia guild's headquarters) and telling the woman working there that he'll sign up for the king's request.
