Growing up in Fengjian, a simple and quiet village has made your life quite boring yet also peaceful. There were no battles or anything worth worrying about rather than the undying gossip from years ago. Being the Granddaughter of Madam Bo, you mostly spent your time helping around her restaurant. But later on, Madam Bo introduced you to Raiden and Kung Lao, the two little boys she was going to train.

Growing up with Raiden and Kung Lao sparked an undying friendship between you three, making it as if it was just the three of you against the whole world. You always watched Kung Lao and Raiden train under Madam Bo's with awe and interest. Curious and intrigued, you dawned upon yourself to train with them. After a lot of persuasion and resistance, you finally managed to make Madam Bo include you into their routines. It's been years, those three little kids struggling to throw punches and kicks all grew up into fine adults.

"The deal was whoever filled their cart first." Kung Lao scoffed as Raiden kept his usual calm and nonchalant demeanor.

"That's not what I remember." He shrugged, making Kung Lao seath more. You stood there, waiting for the payment of the food they just devoured in amusement as the two fought amongst themselves. But before the conversation could escalate any further, background noises of grumbling were heard, making you turn around in curiosity. Kung Lao and Raiden turned to the direction of the noise as well, confused and curious on what it may be.

It seems like a customer—who presumed to look like some gangster—was arguing with Madam Bo. And before you knew it, Madam Bo was thrown off the railings. This surprised you three, immediately running to the scene. Raiden and Kung Lao looked worriedly at Madam Bo who was unconscious three stories down in surprise and disbelief while you glared at the man who threw your grandmother off. It was Smoke, a warrior from Lin Kuei. You were a little confident on taking him down since there were three of you and one of him. But oh, your confidence was easily plummeted when a sudden flock of Lin Kuei appeared behind him.
