In ancient times, in the country where the Jews lived, there was a difficult time. The heat dried out the land, livestock died of thirst, and the people suffered from hunger. The brothers, four in number, lived with their father, who was old and could no longer work in the fields. The father had a beloved son, his name was Avdies. He was handsome and wise, his brothers envied and hated him. Every day they humiliated him, killed his soul with evil words and neglected his work. They wanted to get rid of him, but his father did not pay attention to him and was only for him. One day, when the brothers were going to the market, they decided to sell Joseph into slavery. They hatched an insidious plan: to get away from their father and sell him to one of the Arabs who came to the market on their camels.
