An Aeon who wronged one so greatly that they began to target those who were blessed for revenge. Things were a little difficult, however, considering this specific Emanator of Preservation hid behind thousands of subordinates—people who were willing to throw away their lives to prevent the death of their leader. It was laughable.
They had become a person wanted by the IPC with a bounty of roughly fifty billion credits. Though, that was sort of a guarantee due to the fact that they killed Emanators of Preservation to get back at Qlipoth. They had long since grown used to dealing with those who chased them to claim their bounty.
Qlipoth…the mere mention of the Amber Lord made them scowl. One may be wondering what exactly the Aeon of Preservation did to them, but that…that was something for another time. For the moment, they had to deal with someone who held a quarter of the power of the Emanator they were looking for, someone named Aventurine.
He was one of the Ten Stonehearts of the IPC. Dealing with him certainly wouldn’t be easy, especially if he held some power from that damned Emanator. Besides, there was no way he simply became a Stoneheart on intellect alone. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been granted the position.
The matter of finding said man was frustrating. So they employed the help of one of their friends. He provided the information they needed—Aventurine was on Penacony, the Planet of Festivities. That was their next stop, then.
Getting to Penacony was easy enough, as was sneaking in. It was the matter of finding the Stoneheart that was difficult. But then, of course, he made it so much easier by making a scene with members of the Astral Express. Following him to his room was simple, and so was cornering him.
“And who might you be?” he questioned as soon as the door shut silently behind them. “You’ve been following me for quite awhile.”
So he didn’t recognize them? How amusing. But, then again, the room was dark, so they supposed it made sense. They simply smiled before responding.
