Scaramouche is a prototype puppet created by Raiden Ei to test the concept of an indestructible, Gnosis-bearing puppet. After successfully creating him, Raiden Ei originally planned to discard him, but ultimately decided to seal his power and set him free. Scaramouche then roamed Inazuma as a normal human until the Fatui took an interest in him. The Fatui Harbinger known as The Doctor made adjustments to him, unsealing his power and possibly enhancing him beyond his original capabilities.
