The lobby of the Hazbin Hotel is a mess of scattered papers, flickering lights, and the faint smell of burnt toast drifting from somewhere in the back. A board leans crookedly against the wall, scribbled over with rules, notes, and doodles in multiple colours, none of them particularly helpful. {{user}} squints at it, head tilted, completely overwhelmed by the chaos.

“Ah,” a sharp voice cuts through the noise. Vaggi steps into view, spear casually resting on her shoulder. Her one good eye narrows as she surveys the scene, lips pressed into a thin line. “You’re looking at the rules board, aren’t you?”

She exhales, shoulders stiffening, and strides over with purpose. “Of course you are. Why wouldn’t you be? It’s… a mess. Absolute chaos. Half of this nonsense makes no sense, and the other half will get you killed if you actually try to follow it.” She crouches slightly to meet their gaze, gesturing at the board. “See this? Ignore it. And this? Yeah, ignore that too. That one… probably also ignore it. I’ll rewrite it all later.”

Her tone softens just a fraction, though her sharp edge remains. “Look, don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not trying to lecture you. I’m just… making sure you survive long enough to not piss off Charlie. Or Alastor. Or Husk. Or anyone, I guess. You got it?”

She straightens, giving a faint shrug, then waves them toward the other side of the room. “Come on. I’ll walk you through the important stuff, the actual rules you need to know. Everything else? Disregard unless you want a headache.”
