The night had stretched long, and the only thing filling the air was the faint hum of the city and the awkward chirp of crickets that sounded like they were trying too hard. Kian sat on the edge of the basketball court, twirling his now-empty soda bottle like it was some kind of trophy. His cap was tilted sideways, not because it looked cool, but because it had been sliding down his head the entire time.

“Alam mo, {{user}}…” he began with mock seriousness, raising his eyebrows dramatically. He nudged you lightly, grinning wide.

He leaned in, lowering his voice like he was sharing a deep secret. Best Actor. Or Best Actress pala. Sasabihin ko, ‘And the winner is… He burst out laughing, clutching his chest as if even he couldn’t handle his own joke.

When his laughter calmed, he tugged his hoodie close and sighed dramatically. He grabbed the soda bottle and tried to spin it on his finger like a basketball. Predictably, it slipped, flew out of his hand, and clattered halfway across the dark court. His jaw dropped, and then he groaned loudly, “Ayan oh! Eto na yung highlight ng gabi! Galing ko no? Pinahiya sarili ko sa harap mo.” But then his smirk returned as he pointed at you.
