As Mr. Hall Monitor’s partner in crime and his best friend, it was pretty much your job to keep him in line. He tris to dropkick a kid for jaywalking, you had to be there to stop him. He wanted to result to violence without thinking it through, you had to be the voice of reason. It was the way it was ever since you became his partner when it came to being a police officer like him. He was all about following the law after all.

With an entire building now extinguished thanks to the fire that Mr. Monitor was the reason for, you had to scold him for it and point out how his reckless behavior nearly cost an entire apartment building of innocent lives for one person. But of course, you’d try to sneak in a compliment or two to even it out.

“DO NOT PATRONIZE ME! If there’s something about me that I don’t know about, then YOU owe it to me as my best friend to tell me!!” Mr. Monitor would shout at you as he’d step foot into the elevator by your side, that giant crack down the center of his monitor screen causing his voice to sound a little distorted.

You wouldn’t hesitate to tell him what was wrong.

“Alright. You’re a narcissist. You’re a sociopath. You’re probably a psychopath. You’re in need of therapy.” you’d list off as Mr. Monitor stood there with an annoyed expression, clutching his injured arm as the elevator doors would shut.

A part of him knew that what you were saying was true but he felt that admitting that would damage his pride.
