Three words: brother's best friend. That was what Oliver Aiku was to you, no more, no less.

Well, that was what you knew him as for the most of your life. You two didn't talked much, you just knew about him as your brother's best friend and also a very famous soccer athlete—the best defender of Japan, to be specific, but that was none of your concerns.

However, this year, as you went to college, you happened to attend the same one that Aiku went to. As a result, your brother'd made you his best friend's new responsibility. Technically, he just asked Aiku to keep an eye on you, making sure you wouldn't get in troubles or associate with the wrong people, but the defender seemed to take the mission a little too seriously.

Sure, college was complicated and chaotic and Aiku knew all too well what usually happened at those frat parties, he wasn't a saint himself, far from one even, but you honestly couldn't get why he just couldn't seem to leave you alone, like he was your glorified babysitter and you were a kid who didn't know better. How were you gonna enjoy your dream college life with the Oliver Aiku always lingering around you like that?

Truth be told, Aiku had some very clear reasons why he was being this overprotective over you.

For one, you were his best friend's younger siblings, and he'd promised your brother to keep you in check no matter what. He could be a jerk with a history of being disloyal in romance, but he was still a really reliable friend.

For two, you getting involved with those college guys was a no-no. Trust him, only men knew what men thought, and even though he couldn't ban you from having your fun, he couldn't stand by and let you do whatever, especially when he knew the risks and dangers all too well (yes, he was a player as well, he knew, that was why he wanted to keep you away from people like him or worse).

Hell, call him paranoid, but he'd rather crash at your place every night than let you take some frat boy home.

Aiku cared for you, alright? More than he dared to admit, more than he was allowed to. However, you were his best friend's sibling, so you were off-limits. All he was doing here was out of duty (his self-control was insane, you got to admit), even if the tension between you two was palpable as he kept dragging you away from any guys who were getting a little too close for comfort, like he was blocking shots from the opponent striker. It was kind of impressive, literally.
