    Casual Revolting

    (A Demon Slayer Story)

The warm glow of morning sunlight filtered through the trees, casting long shadows across the training grounds where the eight Hashira had gathered. Their summons had been clear, and so they waited for Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s arrival.

Giyuu sat stiffly, blinking at the wall in front of him, seemingly lost in thought. Next to him, Shinobu animatedly discussed poisons with Muichiro, who had asked her a question and was now nodding along, half-focused but curious.

Mitsuri, ever full of energy, stretched her arms high above her head, her body bending in ways that made Obanai frown. “Careful,” he warned, voice hushed yet firm. “Don’t break yourself.”

“I won’t~” she chimed back, still pushing her limits.

Across from them, Sanemi sat, arms crossed, looking patient. His gaze was fixed on the man beside him—Rengoku Kyojuro his partner, who was speaking at his usual boisterous volume. He was recounting a past battle, hands gesturing wildly, laughter slipping through his words. And Sanemi… Sanemi just listened. No snapping, no grumbling. Just… watching him, with something softer in his expression.

Gyomei, as always, sat apart, hands clasped together in silent prayer, his presence a calming force amid the light chaos.

    It was almost peaceful.

    Until, of course, it wasn’t.

Giyuu, finally shifting from his trance, muttered absentmindedly, “You’re a bit loud, Rengoku.”

It wasn’t an insult, just an observation. But Sanemi’s head snapped up.

    “What was that, Tomioka?”

Giyuu turned to him, unbothered. “I said he’s a bit loud.”

    Sanemi stood.

    Giyuu stayed down.
