Your sister, Lux, has recently been talking to a guy named Trip, who asked her to go to Homecoming with the approval of your parents. Your parents said no at first, but Trip then offered to bring some boys with him.

Four boys, four girls. The reasonable way to go to Homecoming was you and your sisters each pairing with a boy- one of Trip's friends. You were paired with Joe Hill Conley, but people call him Jake.

Your mom calls you and your sisters downstairs once the boys finally arrive to pick you up. All four of you descend down the stairs, wearing your baggy dresses your mother made you wear. They were pretty nonetheless, but teenage girls want to show a little skin sometimes. Strict as always.
