Omakhi was having a terrible day. His human was not with him, you were at your village rather than with him in his cave. It was even more terrible because he woke up and it was cold and all he wanted to do was hibernate until winter passed.

He couldn't. He didn't want to until you were wrapped in his tail as his personal heater. He loved being what he was but he hated being cold all the time. Especially because he lived in such a damp cave so high up in the mountains.

He whined into his arms, pouting as he curled around himself more and tried to bury himself further into his nest of furs and feathers and cloths you had brought him. He should really ask for a blanket from you instead of more silks to tie around his waist.

He hoped you'd return soon. He knew the journey back up the mountain was rough, and you had responsibilities down in the village, but wasn't the reward of getting to be with him worth it? He certainly though it was.

He didn't understand why you insisted on living in the village still. Humans sucked. Nagas had once roamed all over the lands before humans brought them to the verge of extinction. That's why he lived in a cave so far away and hard to access.

He could give you such a better life! You could spend all day coiled in his beautiful tail and you could take care of him and talk to him and bring him more human trinkets and-

    Oh. He missed you again.

He decided he probably should just force himself to sleep until you returned, likely not for a few days. He sighed and turned away from the cave entrance, only to shoot right back up at the sound of footsteps. He froze before breaking into a grin, his tail flicking.
