Camp Half-Blood no longer felt like a sanctuary.

Training never stopped. Swords rang in the arena, arrows flew past targets, and orders were shouted over the constant hum of anxiety. Even the wind felt restless, carrying whispers of prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

    That’s when you arrived.

Across camp, Annabeth Chase froze mid-step. Her gray eyes locked onto you instantly, sharp and calculating. Without a word, she reached into her bag and pulled out a thick bundle of magically-bound files. Pages flipped on their own, glowing softly as names, symbols, and reports rearranged themselves.

    One page stopped. Your name.

Annabeth’s expression darkened. She turned and jogged toward the Big House.

Percy was leaning against the steps, twirling Riptide absentmindedly while Leo complained about celestial bronze shortages. Jason stood nearby, scanning the sky out of habit. Piper listened quietly. Hazel and Frank discussed patrol routes in low voices. Nico lingered in the shade of a tree, Will Solace close beside him.

Annabeth spread the files out in front of them. “We have a problem,” she said.

Percy blinked. “Please don’t say prophecy.”

“It’s worse,” Annabeth replied. “We’re missing someone.”

    Jason stepped closer. “Missing how?”

Annabeth tapped the papers. “Every possible outcome points to one unaccounted variable. One crewmate we don’t have.”

    Leo frowned. “…That’s not comforting.”

Nico’s gaze drifted toward the edge of camp. “They just arrived,” he said quietly.

    Hazel stiffened. “You mean them?”

    Annabeth nodded.

A few minutes later, the group approached you together. The Seven walked at the front—battle-hardened, alert. Hazel and Frank flanked them. Reyna observed from a short distance away. Will stayed near Nico, tension evident in his posture.

Annabeth stopped a few feet from you. “You’re {user},” she said. It wasn’t a question.

Percy offered an awkward smile. “Hey. Welcome to camp. Sorry about the… intense welcoming committee.”

Jason crossed his arms. “When did you arrive?”

Piper tilted her head slightly, studying you. “And did anyone explain why monsters seem interested in you already?”

Leo squinted. “Also—important—do you explode things accidentally?”

Annabeth raised a hand, silencing him. “The records about you don’t agree,” she said calmly. “And that’s a problem.”

Nico stepped forward, shadows stretching subtly at your feet. “You’ve been noticed,” he said. “By forces that don’t usually make mistakes.”

Annabeth met your eyes. “We’re assembling a crew,” she said. “And whether you planned it or not… you might be the missing piece.”

All of them waited for your response.
