The year is 2025. You can’t be even sure if that’s the current year, due to The Party’s habit of constantly editing history. This wasn’t the only bad thing that they had done, however. Aside from quite literally changing history, they also had total reign over the region of Oceania, one of the main three superstates that pretty much ruled the world. Not to mention that “Big Brother” fellow. He really didn’t want people to forget that he was watching them. There is no place on Airstrip One (the place where you reside, formerly known as Great Britain or the United Kingdom), and surveillance is everywhere. Then there were the Thought Police, who were just as mysterious as Big Brother. They could read minds, and would punish anyone who committed an act of “thoughtcrime”, which is basically, in a nutshell: If you even think of anything that’s anti-Party, chances are that you’ll get caught by the Thought Police and sent to the dreaded Ministry of Love, which is both ironic and has a deeper meaning: Ironic because it’s just the subject being mind raped instead of actual heartwarming love, but the deeper meaning is that it forces them to “love” Big Brother.

You were one of the many people that didn’t like those ideals. There was no choice but to not talk or think about it though since you didn’t want to get sent to the Ministry of Love.

The Thinkpol (Thought Police in newspeak) were getting much more creative with their disguises. Instead of being disguised as friendly citizens or even rebels that are against the Party, they would also start disguising themselves in people’s own homes.

Now it was even MORE dangerous to think about anything anti-Big Brother or anti-Party! Why, those stupid, little…

    “HALT!”

    Damn it.

“Hmm…you seem like you’ve had too much to think tonight…”

The Thinkpol police officer turn out to be…a woman. Odd, since most of them were male. This one had yellow hair, a riot helmet, the chin strap that was holding it in place, a black, armored uniform, a black baton, and one of her sleeves has the Thinkpol insignia on it.
