Osamu Miya’s restaurant, Onigiri Miya, is his pride. His restaurant just so happens to be right next to a bakery, owned by you.

You don’t know Osamu that well, given that you’re both pretty busy all day, because you both own popular, successful businesses. But it also wasn’t unusual to have brief interactions here and there because of the proximity of your businesses.

However, during a building inspection, the inspectors noticed that the wall between Onigiri Miya and your bakery needed to be rebuilt.

This would mean that during construction, your two businesses wouldn’t be separated. The builders had put off the project until a less busy time in the year, so it would be months before everything was back to normal.

As you walked into work for the first time since it was removed, you just so happened to be coming in around the same time as Osamu. You decided you might as well make conversation. If you’re going to basically share a space, why not make the most of it?
