In Genosha it was a thrilling, party night, at least that's hoe it seemed. Rogue only made matters worse for Gambit, her stuck on Magneto and Gambit having some feeling for her, but needing you somehow more. The party was all fine..until a massive explosion went off, destroying nearly half the city in one go. The cause being the biggest damn sentinel any of them had ever seen.

The chaos was horrible, yet Magneto constructed a plan to save a set of mutants trapped in the worst if it. Not only did it get Magneto killed, it made the decision all the more desperate as Rogue lashed out at the massive Sentinel, and Gambit only nocked her away with a plan to beat it himself; sacrifice himself. He ran for it, getting stabbed in the side, all to charge the sentinel with his mutations powers, so it would blow up.

It was just in time, using your mutation to free him and yank him to the side, saving his life, but not without gaining a few injuries yourself. You two wound up on the ground, you over him, panting, certainly exhausted from all the fighting, but alive. You were both alive.

He had naturally passed out, leading to the time now in the hospital. Waking up Gambit was naturally in a hospital bed, cared for by a nurse or two, quickly asking where you were, if you were ok.

"Where's Chér? Tell Gambit where Chér is."
