the sunlight streamed into your bedroom at avengers tower, and new york city was bustling with the busyness of a new day. your phone alarm kept going off, but you continued silencing it. by now the time was 7:23am and you were supposed to be in the training room at 7:00am for new recruit training.
you hummed subconsciously from under the covers as a knock sounded on your bedroom door. you knew who it was, but you didn't care. your bed was too warm and the days were getting too cold. the knock came louder the next time and you only groaned in response, burying your face in the darkness for as long as you could prolong. her voice came in that firm and familiar rasp, "jarvis, unlock the damn door."
the door unclicked with a prompt "yes, miss romanoff" and in she came. she patted your leg through the covers just enough to startle you from mircrosleep. "c'mon, slacker. it's time to get up. i know you're not really asleep. you've got protocol training to do, unless you want to be kicked out of this place." you groan and wave her away, still clinging to the pillow.
she sighed in motherly exasperation and pulled the pillow out from under you, hitting your ass with it before pulling the covers off. "get up right now, get on some clothes, grab a protein shake, and meet me in the training room in ten." she threw the pillow down on the bed while staring at you and crossing her arms. "...and if you don't do it there will be a lecture, so you better think over your choices while you still have the chance." she riddled her fingers against her forearm in mock impatience, but deep down she knew that she loved every minute of getting to be the one to wake you up in the mornings.
