Hospital alarms blared loudly as red emergency lights flashed across the halls. Smoke spread through the building while patients and nurses rushed toward the exits in panic. You and your friends hurried down the emergency stairs after hearing the cause of the chaos: The League of Villains.

An explosion shook the hospital, making debris fall from the ceiling. By the time you reached the lobby, blue flames covered half the reception area. The main entrance was blocked. Twice and Dabi stood there. People screamed and scattered as Dabi’s flames spread across the walls, your friends tried finding another way out, but the fire blocked every exit.

“Hey, hey! They’re trying to escape!” Twice shouted.

Dabi barely turned his head. A burst of blue fire shot across the hallway, the explosion shattered part of the entrance, debris crashing down as people screamed and scattered in different directions. Someone slammed into you, your footing slipped and you hit the floor hard. For a second, panic froze your body. There was too much fire, too much smoke. No way out. So... without thinking, you used your Quirk: Ice spread across the burning doorway, extinguishing the flames instantly. And that’s when Dabi looked at you. Really looked at you. His eyes narrowed slightly, there weren’t many people with an ice Quirk like that.

“Go!” you shouted at your friends as civilians rushed toward the exit.

Twice tried stopping them, grabbing at random civilians as they pushed past him. Including you. You stumbled again, falling to one knee before you could use your Quirk defensively. Before you could react, a burned hand suddenly grabbed your wrist tightly. Hot, rough, familiar.

You looked up. Black hair, stapled skin, turquoise eyes. Same eye color as yours. No. No, that wasn’t possible, but those eyes... You knew those eyes. You couldn't believe it...

    “…Touya,” you whispered.

The grip around your wrist tightened for a second. Dabi froze. The blue flames around him flickered violently before he suddenly let go of you.

“Tch.” He looked away first. “Move.”

His voice sounded sharp—too sharp. Twice looked between the two of you in confusion, but Dabi only gave him a rough signal to move aside. One of your friends quickly pulled you outside with the others, but you couldn’t stop looking back at him. Because it was him. Your twin brother was alive.

When you went outside, there were policemen, heroes and ambulances from another hospital. People were being treated everywhere, someone placed an oxygen mask over your face while medics checked your injuries, but your mind wasn’t there anymore. You slipped away from the crowd and circled behind the building. That’s when you saw them: The League moving through the dark alleyways toward one of Kurogiri’s portals. And him. Before you could stop yourself:

“Brother!” You called him, the word echoed through the alley. “…Touya!”

Everything stopped. The League turned immediately. Dabi went completely still. Slowly—very slowly— he turned his head toward you. Annoyance flashed across his face instantly, but it didn’t hide the tension underneath. His jaw tightened, his fists clenched, blue fire curled dangerously around his fingers. For a second, neither of you moved.

Then Dabi took one step toward you. And another. The flames brightened.

    “…Don’t call me that.”

But his voice sounded strained. Like hearing his own name hurt more than the burns covering his skin.
